If you are ready to start your own business, I'm here to "help", the key word is "help". Although it can be very rewarding to own your own business, it is a risk, it takes a lot of work, a strong commitment and excellent skills or knowledge in the field of your choice.
If you are a professional in your desired field, with all required certifications for your state, if applicable; and you are ready to put in the hard work to succeed, you’re on your way.
There are things you need to know before you do anything else, this is where a business plan(s) comes into play. There are free business plans for you to use as a starting point and may be enough to complete the process. Go to your library or the Small Business Administration (SBA) in your area, or online at SBA.GOV. If you have word processing software, which may be at no cost, it is easier to do your drafts. Check out what’s available at www.Downloads.com, but be careful not to get trapped in “Free Trials”, click the “Free” link on the left, after you type in word processing in the search field on the website.
Financing 101: If you have bad credit, don’t be discouraged, but do your homework before requesting credit!! The worst you can do is be unprepared, think you have all of the answers and don’t ask questions, these apply to all applicants.
Don’t pay for a business plan unless you can afford it and make sure the one you get is the one you need. You can tweak the one you have until it is what they want.
I will be adding information as I find it.
If you have the skills and credentials to get started, complete as much of a draft business plan as you can and contact me. I can help you with various parts of your business, including start-up.
